Welcome

Thanks for taking a look.

I started Seaside Knitting Patterns in 2007 as a labor of love. I enjoy the challenge of creating my own garments - math, fit, texture, pattern - and transforming beautiful fibers into wearable art.

A seamstress from a small age, I learned to knit while on an exchange program in Norway during college in 1993. I’ve never looked back. Knitting and a general love of textile arts has taken me on a winding journey of education and creativity. I hold a Ph.D. in Folklore, have taught knitting since 2009, and have worked in the craft industry with yarn, fabric, natural dyeing since 2018.

I post my patterns to Ravelry.com for purchase.

Enjoy!
